The Curia has announced the appointment of two new parish priests.Mgr Carmel Farrugia has been appointed parish priest of Balzan. Born in Qormi in 1950, he has served as parish priest (archpriest) of Zejtun and Zurrieq. Lately he has been helping out at Caritas.

Fr Joseph Cilia has been appointed as parish priest of Lija. Born in 1971 he has served as parish priest of Safi and later Archpriest of Vittoriosa.
