16 countries took part in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in order to qualify for the 10 places available in Saturday's final. The 10 qualifiers were announced as follows:

Albania, Armenia, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Estonia, Georgia, Serbia and Belgium

Malta will be taking part in the second semi-final to be held on Thursday. Singer Amber is Malta’s representative with her song Warrior.
