A 27-year-old man was remanded in custody today after he was charged with stealing over €30,000 worth of antiques from his neighbors.
Allegedly Siro Lanzon broke into a the garage of a residency in the same road he lives in, in Marsascala, stealing a number of furniture pieces and wall clocks. It is thought he broke into the store several times.
Defence council Simon Micallef Stafrace requested bail, however this was turned down by the court, given the accused lives in the same street as the owners of the stolen items.
Mr Lanzon pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him.
Magistrate Charmaine Galea presided.
