Sunday, 24 May 2015, 07:07 Last update: about 10 years ago

The show staged by Malta’s PBS for the Junior Eurovision 2014 contest will be a hard act to follow, the Bulgarian organisers of Junior Eurovision 2015 said yesterday.

Speaking in Vienna yesterday at a press conference about this year’s Junior Eurovision Contest (JESC), which is being held in Bulgaria this November, Executive Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev started proceedings by commenting, “PBS really set the bar high in 2014. We are looking forward to a great event in Bulgaria this year as well.”

BNT’s Director General Viara Ankova invited the press and fans to visit the competition in November: “As Bulgarians we’re really proud to welcome you to our country. As BNT we’re proud to host such a wonderful event. JESC has been gaining more and more popularity over the last few years. JESC not only entertains, it also unites as well as inspires dreams.”

During the press conference, 2014 winner Vincenzo Cantiello performed part of his winning song for last year, and there was also a performance from Michele Perniola, and Anita Simonchini (who represented San Marino in Eurovision this year) together with Arianna Ulivi, who was part of The Peppermints with Anita in Malta.
