Adding a rather new voice, in the American University at Zonqor Point controversy, Minister Leo Brincat has been arguing on Facebook in favour of balance.

Writing on Facebook some time ago, Mr Brincat wrote: "Government must weigh everything.

"It must remain determined to implement the new university project, and the national natural park and that these be sited in the South.

'On the other hand, the government must ensure that alternative sites that will be identified by the government itself and by those who propose serious and well-thought out proposals are considered seriously, especially after the formal invitation made by the Prime Minister.

'And we must not allow those who want to disrupt the project cost what it may be given a free ride."
