The Maltese have not learnt to be rational and objective when they debate mega-projects, former Prime Minister Alfred Sant writes.
Writing his first blog for The Malta Independent today, Dr Sant gives a list of projects that created debate in Maltese society since the 1960s.
Without mentioning the university at Zonqor Point, but making a clear reference to the ongoing controversy, Dr Sant writes that ”one would have expected that on the basis of these experiences our society would have developed a method by which to consider and evaluate mega projects in a rational and objective manner. This does not seem to be the case.”
