On 31 May, Daniel 'The Jet' Zahra will go to Japan for a World Kickboxing Network's (WKN) K1 Match, where he will compete for the WKN International Title.

In 2014 'The Jet' had already faced and beat Japanese athlete Kyori Yoshimoto in a K1 match held in Malta. Yoshimoto then challenged Zahra for a rematch under K1 rules, but this time in Japan.

The athletes will face off against each other at 105 RISE Fight Night event.

The match will be a 3x3 event with gloves only. The Maltese-Japanese showdown will be one of the main bouts of the night at Tokyo's Koruaken Hall - where the most renowned hall in Japan for international professional K1 matches are held.

Zahra will enter Maltese kickboxing history as the first Maltese kickboxer to compete outside Europe.

Currently, 'The Jet' is undergoing continuous training under the leadership of coach Noel Mercieca who is also the founder of the Ying Yang Kickboxing Club Team Noel.

On 13 June, Zahra will participate in the Gladiators Night 10 that will take place at the Greek Theatre in Ta' Qali, where he will face Ladislav Kryštůfek from the Czech Republic for the WKN World Title Belt in the 64kg category.
