Two bus drivers needed medical attention this morning after they were hit by a bus at the Valletta bus terminus.

Eyewitnesses said that an empty bus started moving with the two drivers trying to stop it.

The police said the two men, aged 31 and 34, of Zabbar and Birkirkara respectively, saw the bus going downhill on its own and tried to board it to stop the vehicle. The bus careened onto tw,o vehicles and crashed into a barrier and concrete block.

The two men were grievously injured but are not in critical condition, the police said.
