PN MP Claudio Grech asked Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi in parliament whether the government would stick to its pledge and the public given the chance to nominate the director of each government entity since this was not being done. Mr Grech asked whether this would happen in the case of Enemalta Corporation as well.
Minister Mizzi was fast to point out that the PN had also pledged in its 2008 manifesto that directors would be appointed after a public call is issued but this was not the case, it turns out.
Dr Mizzi said that the manifesto takes five years to implement and there is still time tp implement the rest of the PL’s manifesto.
