European Commission economic indicators show that Malta – for the 12th consecutive month - has the highest level of optimism among eurozone countries, the government said in a statement.

Indications of economic sentiment this month reached a level of 18% more than the registered average ever since this sentiment started to be measured.

For the second time since this type of research was introduced, all economic sectors in Malta were optimistic.

“Many manufacturing companies emphasised that their production levels increased during the last few months while also stating that they were expecting further improvements in the months to come.

“Service operators have also stated that they are experiencing the highest levels of economic confidence for the first time in five years,” the government statement read.
