The Gozo night shelter will welcome its first residents in June, Parliamentary Secretary for Rights of Persons with Disability and Active Aging Justyne Caruana has announced.
She attended the 26th edition of the elderly pilgrimage, organised by the San Gwann Knights' Order. It consisted of a mass in the Ta Pinu sanctuary and a dinner. "This activity was made possible thanks to the Active Aging department for St Vincent Depaul residents.
Dr Caruana explained that a number of projects were taking place in Gozo. As for the night shelter, she said that it will open its doors to the public on 31 May.
