Monday, 22 June 2015, 15:34 Last update: about 10 years ago

Staff members at the IELS Malta language school recently organised a charity event, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, to raise funds in aid of children residing at the Ursuline Sisters Home in Sliema.

All employees, from student leaders, to teachers, administration staff and management, participated heartily in the dress down initiative where hot dogs were sold at the company's premises and all proceeds were saved in the CSR pot. IELS organises various initiatives every year to raise funds and the global sum collected will be presented to identified charitable institutions at Christmas time.

Beneficiaries this year will be the Ursuline Sisters in Sliema who look after 28 children between the ages of a few months and 3 years old.

In all, the Ursuline Sisters run four homes, apart from the one in Sliema, they have others in Guardamangia, Tarxien and Valletta, looking after 92 children from newborns to 16-year-olds.
