The Embassy of the Republic of Korea accredited to Malta, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Malta Enterprise joined forces to organise a programme of events marking the 50th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Maltese contemporary dance company ŻfinMalta and the Korean National Contemporary Dance Company held a workshop on 3 July, followed by a fully-fledged performance at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on 5 July.

A business forum was also organised with Malta Enterprise today. The forum was attended by high-level representatives of South Korean companies, officials from the Milan trade centre of the Korea Trade Promotion Corporation (KOTRA), as well as representatives of their Maltese counterparts, namely Malta Enterprise and the Maltese business community.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs said that both countries shared the view that their excellent bilateral relations have the potential to grow at both cultural and trade levels, and that the celebrations marking 50 years of diplomatic relations came at a time where both sides are seeking to enhance political and commercial cooperation.
