APS staff take part in Team Building exercises

Thursday, 23 July 2015, 10:31 Last update: about 10 years ago

As part of its ongoing commitment towards the strengthening of its team spirit, APS Bank is organising a series of team-building workshops, at the Limestone Heritage, Park and Gardens, in Siġġiewi. Participants include all staff members, divided into diverse teams from various areas within the Bank.

Participants in each team are required to work together and set goals to successfully complete a number of activities and tasks, having defined outcomes and which require the input and contribution of all the members of the team. There is no shortage of variety, with activities designed to give participants a mix of fun, yet with a focus on successful team-achievement as well as an overall fruitful team-building experience.

Team-building is one way to improve working relations, break down silos, improve collaboration, achieve goals and foster a high performance culture. The Team-building activities will also contribute to the personal and professional development of all participants as the informal learning environment provides the right platform to enhance the soft skills required to keep focused on accomplishing goals through effective teamwork throughout the organisation.

Peter Gatt, one of the participants, had some very positive comments regarding his experience at this event, "I believe that being in a relaxed environment helped to achieve a very positive experience whereby we got to know each other on a more personal level. This experience put me in a better position to understand how important it is to work in a team." APS Bank is keen on improving the quality and effectiveness of its staff members, and looks forward to more events in the future.
