Labour Party MEP Alfred Sant has expressed concern about the “hidden but real cost to the economy” caused by traffic jams.
Writing his bi-weekly blog on The Malta Independent, the former Labour PM said that “things have hardly changed” when it comes to road works in Malta.
Over the past weeks, and particularly this week, traffic jams have been the order of the day especially since the temporary closing down of the Coast Road.
The government, in particular the minister responsible, Joe Mizzi, has remained silent in the wake of complaints about traffic congestion.
