Parliamentary Secretary Jose Herrera said that the government’s vision is that the gaming industry continues to grow in a “responsible” manner, assuring that the gaming regulator is taking all the necessary measures to safeguard this industry.

He was speaking during the launch of the Igaming Seminar (MIGS).

Dr Herrera said that isolated stories of companies which have been accused of engaging in criminal acts should not tarnish the reputation of this industry and all the work which has been done to build such a good repute.

Turning to the seminar, he said that it is an opportunity for gaming sector representatives from all over the world to meet and experience our gaming industry.

The seminar is to be held between 16 and 19 November.

Malta Gaming Authoirty chairman Joseph Cuschieri said the authority is doing a lot of work to strengthen its internal structures in order to be able to meet the demands of existing and potential gaming operators.
