Foreign Affairs Minister George Vella has arrived back in Malta and his condition is now stable, following a cardiac intervention in Beijing.

Dr Vella underwent cardiac intervention in Beijing after feeling unwell while on a visit to China.

Speaking on the phone to One Radio this morning, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat thanked the government of China for their medical assistance and the government of Qatar for arranging for Minister Vella to return to Malta.
