Two Irish people on holiday in Malta today admitted to stealing €77 worth of tips from two bars in St Julian’s and Sliema whilst drunk.
Eoin Eamonn Hogan, 31 and Elaine Hurley, 28, were conditionally discharged for one year and ordered to pay back the stolen tips within two days.
They also admitted to trespassing, and apologised to the court.
Inspector Neville Mercieca prosecuted and lawyer Mark Mifsud Cutajar appeared for the accused.
