Prime Minister still refusing to address institutionalised corruption – PN

Thursday, 27 August 2015, 14:51 Last update: about 10 years ago

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is still refraining from speaking about the scandal involving Joe Sammut, the former treasurer of the Labour Party, the Nationalist Party said.

The PM has failed to address the institutionalised corruption in government entities, including Identity Malta, which is led by the former Labour candidate Joe Vella Bonnici – who was appointed by Dr Muscat himself, the statement said.

It is unacceptable that the Prime Minister has failed to put people’s mind at rest about the case, which is one of many, it said.

The public is so far uninformed on whether the persons residing illegally in Malta have been identified and whether the visas will be revoked.
