Court hands down suspended sentence after man pleads guilty to assaulting police officers

A 59-year-old from Nadur, Gozo, was today handed a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to assaulting two police officers.

The man was charged with assaulting the officials and relapsing.

Magisrate Paul Coppini sentenced the man to one year in prison suspended to three years. The man was also fined €4,000.
