A substantial amount of cash was stolen in an armed robbery from a shop in Main Street Mosta on Friday evening, the police said this morning.

A hooded and armed man entered the establishment and demanded money from the salesgirl, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Magistrate G. Vella ordered an inquiry.
