Swiss, Polish aerobatic teams, Royal Navy Black Cats for 23rd Malta International Airshow

The Malta Aviation Society, organisers of the Malta International Airshow, revealed details of the 23rd edition of the airshow to be held on Saturday and Sunday, 26th, 27th September. 

 12 countries, and NATO will be participating in this years Airshow.  The flying display includes two aerobatic teams - The PC-7 Swiss Air Force team, and the Orlik team from the Polish Air Force.  Both teams enjoy an excellent reputation amongst visitors to airshows due to the precise manoeuvres performed during their shows. 

Another special attraction will be The Royal Navy Helicopter Display Team - The Black Cats, while the much awaited Belgian Air Force F-16 will demonstrate the capabilities of the world’s best fighter aircraft to the crowds at the Malta International Airshow 2015. 

Mr. Joe Ciliberti, President of the Malta Aviation Society thanked all volunteers who, once more, did their best to provide Malta and the general public with another International Airshow that compares very well with other European displays. “We are looking forward to host some of the best pilots and engineering teams within the aviation sector.  Those attending the event will also note that the static display is quite rich,  with various interesting aircraft which the public can view and photography closely.   The Airshow is a family event which provides educational opportunities and entertainment.  Pilots and Engineers representing the various Air Forces will be meeting the general public, reply to their questions and give information about their respective Air Force and aircraft” said Mr. Ciliberti. 

Mr Ciliberti thanked the various entities who support the event, including The Ministry of Tourism, MTA, AFM, MIA, Malta Air Traffic Services, the Police and CPD and all other organisation that together provide a safe and enjoyable weekend to all those attending the event.

The Malta International Airshow opens its doors on Saturday and Sunday from 1000hrs till 1730hrs.   Pre-Paid Tickets are available from all Burger King Outlets in Malta, (Valletta, Sliema, Paceville, MIA and Qormi), Information Desk & Departures lounge at the Malta International Airport 

Tickets for adults: Saturday: €10 for prepaid tickets and €13 at the airshow gate, Sunday:   €13 for prepaid tickets and €15 at the airshow gate.

Children Under 14: Free and must be accompanied by a paying adult.  The Malta Aviation Society allows children 14 years and under to come in for free in line with the MAS brief to ‘foster interest in aviation, especially in the younger generation. All tickets are valid for one (1) day.

 The Airshow Gate is located in Ħal-Farruġ Road Luqa. Please follow signs to the general car park. A one-way system operates during the airshow weekend as directed by the Malta Police.
