To make this year's annual summer event different and more memorable, Express Trailers teamed up with The Heritage Trust Fund (Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna - FWA) and treated its employees together with their partners to a summer BBQ at Fort Rinella as a sign of appreciation for their untiring support shown throughout the year.

The event, held on Saturday 29th August, opened with a tour of the Fort, a cannon firing drill and an artillery and cavalry animated display by the able resident historical re-enactment team of the Fort. All those present then proceeded to the Fort where they were treated to welcome drinks and a pleasant BBQ smartly catered by Cordina Outside Catering.

Thanking all the employees and management for the commitment throughout the year, Franco Azzopardi, Chairman and CEO of Express Trailers said "Express Trailers is a proud partner and sponsor  of Fondazzjoni Wirth Artna. Therefore, hosting our BBQ at Fort Rinella was a preferred choice for us because this also helped us instil more pride in our history amongst all our employees," added Franco Azzopardi. "After all, with our 50 years since the late Emanuel Vella started operations, we are part of Malta's history, lest in the logistics."

Express Trailers' origins date back to 1945 when the first freight operations took off. Today, the company employs just short of 200 employees.
