Statistics prove that poverty is not a perception, the PN has said in a statement
“Before the elections there were 88,000 at risk of poverty, while this number has risen to 100,000 today. These are a result of Joseph Muscat’s policies, where instead of dividing the benefits received among everyone, he only gives to the people he prefers”.
“The elderly are the ones that have suffered most, and in a single year, the number of elderly at risk of poverty increased by 2,500. This means that 2,500 more elderly people are at risk of poverty than a year ago”.
“Dr Muscat calls others arrogant when he is the one who is arrogant and keeps on sayng that he will not reduce the price of fuel and water and electricity tariffs. Instead of addressing the problems faced by families at risk of poverty, he insists that poverty has in fact reduced”.
“It’s rich that Muscat speaks about poverty when he is fattening the pockets of those close to him, including Deputy PL Leader Toni Abela, former Super One journalist Ramona Attard and Cyrus Engerer”.
