President of the Republic Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca today announced that a conference on bullying will be organised by the Foundation for the Well-being of Society on 23 October at the Verdala Palace.

The aim of the conference is to discuss the problem of bullying from a children’s perspective.

She was speaking during a visit to a number of schools.

Experts from Australia, Ireland and the UK will be brought over to Malta to address the conference.

The conference will be held in conjunction with Professor Carmel Cefai who manages the Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health at the University of Malta.

Heads of schools and children will also give their take on the subject.
