Gas pipeline proof of PN’s diversified energy policy - Nationalist Party

Thursday, 19 November 2015, 13:42 Last update: about 9 years ago

The placement of the gas pipeline project between Malta and Sicily on the common interest project list of the EU is positive news, the Nationalist Party said yesterday.

In a press release, the PN said this confirms that the PN’s energy policy is geared towards Malta’s needs, rather than the unnecessary power station being proposed by the Government, which will mean higher electricity bills, said the PN.

The gas pipeline project is the second large-scale project (the first being the interconnector) launched through the PN’s vision in such a short amount of time, it continued. The PN will continue to push for a diversified energy policy like the pipeline project, for the benefit of cheaper electricity prices.
