“I started the day with a swim.”

These is what British Prime Minister David Cameron told Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Mrs Muscat when he met them before the opening ceremony of the CHOGM at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

Prime Minister Muscat could not believe what he was hearing and in fact asked him whether he had swam in the hotel pool, given the cold wave that gripped the island today.

Prime Minister Cameron immediate reply was, “no in the sea and I have pictures to prove it.”. The Maltese Prime Minister had a look of disbelief and told him, “you’re kidding me!”

PM Joseph Muscat– You didn’t! You did? In a pool but.

PM David Cameron – No in the sea. 

PM Joseph Muscat – You’re kidding me! 

PM David Cameron – I did, and I have the pictures to prove it.
