A 66-year-old from St Paul’s Bay is in hospital after suffering injuries during a hold-up in Rabat this afternoon.

The man, owner of a shoe shop, was in his outlet when two hooded and armed men entered the premises and demanded money. They made off with a substantial amount of cash, the police said.

The owner was taken to hospital suffering from injuries, but his condition is not serious, the police said.
