Two Italian men today were accused of committing a hold-up in Rabat and injuring the shop-owner on Friday.
The accused are Damiano Torrisi, 37 and Alessandro Gandolfo, 35, both of Catania. Mr Torrisi was also charged with driving without a licence while Mr Gondolfo was accused of possession of cannabis.
Both pleaded not guilty but were remanded in custody.
The hold-up took place at about 4pm at a shoe ship in College Street, with some €2,000 stolen.
