Minister for Foreign Affairs, George W. Vella welcomed the successful outcome of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) held in Malta over the past few days.

Minister Vella has expressed his thanks to all those involved in this event who without exception, were crucial in ensuring the very satisfactory outcomes achieved during all the high-level meetings, which were held in various locations across the country.

He underlined his appreciation for the preparatory work carried out by the CHOGM Taskforce, the Malta Police Force, the Armed Forces of Malta, and the security companies involved. He praised the officials of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and all other ministries involved, whose tireless efforts were evident in the run-up and during the meeting itself.
