An 18-year-old woman from Hamrun and a 20-year-old woman from Marsascala were hospitalised earlier this evening after they were involved in a traffic accident in Fgura.

The police said the 18-year-old was driving a Yamaha motorcycle which hit a central strip in Zabbar Road, causing it to crash into a Toyota Aygo. The car was being driven by a 25-year-old woman from St Julians. 

The Marsascala woman was riding pillion on the motorcycle. The two women were taken to hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is not yet known.
