Lawyer Alex Sciberras has sued blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia for libel after she wrote on her blog that he had received €260,494 for legal services given to the Health and Energy Ministry in 2014. 

In a blog post which has since been removed, Daphne Caruana Galizia alleged that the lawyer was being remunerated at the rate of €170 an hour.

In the application, Dr Sciberras claims Caruana Galizia attacked his integrity, honour and reputation, as well as having exposed him to public contempt and ridicule.
