Voluntary Organisations Projects Scheme to be allocated €700,000 a year for NGO projects

Wednesday, 13 January 2016, 16:52 Last update: about 9 years ago

Social Dialogue Minister Helena Dalli today launched the Voluntary Organisations Projects Scheme, which will receive €700,000 in funding every year. The scheme will help non-governmental organisations implement bigger projects on a national level.

Speaking at the launch earlier today, Dr Dali said the project would see NGOs collaborating on various projects. While a single organization could be granted between €5,000 and €25,000 for a project the allocation could rise to a maximum of €60,000 for a joint application.

The projects could be social, educational, environmental, cultural and sports related.

Minister Dalli also distributed €91,000 in final payments to 15 organisations for projects implemented last year.
