Law commissioner Franco Debono and blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia were involved in a heated exchange on The Malta Independent website early this morning.

The exchange took place via comments underneath the story that a journalist from this newspaper was prohibited from entering the Lands Department offices on Tuesday (click here)

In the argument that ensued, Dr Debono wrote about his struggles in the previous administration and how he has been vindicated with the reforms that are taking place, while Mrs Caruana Galizia replied by reminding the former MP that he had voted against his own government and brought it down.

Inevitably, former ministers Carm Mifsud Bonnici and Joe Cassar were mentioned in the exchange, as was Nationalist candidate Herman Schiavone.
