Transport Malta has discovered extensive damage in the stormwater system of T’Alla u Ommu area, the authoritysaid in a statement.  The authority started maintenance works on the system a few days ago.  The team discovered that a critical part of the system, buried beneath the road surface, has collapsed completely.

Transport Malta will install new pipes and will rebuild parts of the system from scratch.  Subsequently, the works will take longer than originally planned.  T’Alla u Ommu Hill will remain closed until Thursday 4 February.

Vehicles can use Triq Burmarrad and Triq il-Kosta.
