A substantial amount of cash was stolen from the lotto booth in Pieta on Wednesday evening, the police said this morning.
The hold-up took place in Marina Street, Pieta at 11.30pm.
Two men, aged 36 and 23, were installing security cameras in the presence of the lotto both owner, aged 43 of Swieqi.
A hooded man armed with a firearm entered the premises and demanded money. The man made off with what the police said was a substantial amount of cash.
