A Maltese delegation participated in the British Isles and Mediterranean Region (BIMR) Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) conference in Guernsey, where they discussed equality within national budgets, in the context of social justice, jobs, education, health and holistic care.

The Maltese delegation was comprised of Parliamentary Secretary for persons with disability Justyne Caruana, independent MP Marlene Farrugia, and PL Whip Godfrey Farrugia.

The Maltese delegation spoke about initiatives being taken in Malta, while learning from the experiences of other countries.

As head of the delegation, the Parliamentary Secretary participated in the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians steering committee, and led a session on health and social care.
