There is an urgent need of ‘O’ positive blood as stocks are running dry, the National Blood Transfusion Centre said in a statement.

There is an everyday need of 50 blood bags  of all blood groups, but the centre is appealing for at least an extra 60 blood bags of ‘O’ positive blood.

Blood donations can be made at the centre in Guardamangia until 6pm.
