The Poldano Group said this morning that works to bring the properties in line with planning regulations were gaining momentum.

Group Legal Advisor Jean Paul Sammut said works to clear the area next to the Poligas plant in Hal Farrug started over the last few months.

“This site was subject to a direct action by MEPA back in 2013 and was sealed off with concrete blocks.

Tons of scrap materials were removed from an area covering over 13,000 sqm. Whilst clearing up works are still in progress landscaping works commenced.  

Last week Polidano also started dismantling the tower at the Animal Park as instructed by MEPA.

Considering the surroundings of the tower this cannot be simply demolished, but needs to be dismantled, however works are catching up momentum.

All works are being carried out under Planning Authority officials supervision.
