Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not be fit in time to play for England at the European Championship.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Oxlade-Chamberlain faces six-to-eight weeks out after a setback in his recovery from a knee injury.
Wenger says "I had a conversation with Alex and with our medical team and they told me he will back in July."
Oxlade-Chamberlain has not played since hurting his knee in a Champions League game against Barcelona on Feb. 23. He was on his way back to fitness and was scheduled to play for Arsenal's under-21 side this week, but hurt his knee again.
Euro 2016 starts on June 10.
