The Palace and The Victoria Hotel helps to raise funds for Inspire Foundation

Once more The Palace and The Victoria Hotel, part of the AX Hotels group, organised the annual Corporate Football Tournament with the objective to raise funds for Inspire Foundation. The latter helps over 1,000 individuals with various disabilities ranging from Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and others.

Sixteen teams participated in this tournament with Longbow Ltd clinching the title as they defeated BOV in the final match. Around 160 players contributed to the success of this event and helped in collecting €3906.30 in funds for Inspire that are needed to continue to develop facilities by the Foundation and enlarge their capacity to provide quality therapeutic, educational and recreational services to persons with a disability.

The Senior Sales Manager of The Palace and The Victoria Hotel, Franklin Azzopardi who has been handling the tournament's organisation since the start, said that this was another event organised by the Hotels on a social aspect. "Today our Hotels are renowned for contributing towards the assistance and improvement of those going through difficult situations in their life and help those people who are in need. We remain dedicated to upsurge public awareness through various corporate social responsibility events which are organised from time to time," said Mr Azzopardi.

The winners of the fifth edition of this Corporate Football Tournament were given a night at The Palace, Sliema whereas the runners up won a dinner at The Victoria Hotel. Floriana FC sponsored this event by providing the football grounds for free while TeamSport also supported this tournament with new balls and the necessary equipment.
