Methode Electronics this morning announced that it will be undertaking another investment of €5 million. The company, which specialises in electronics, will also be expanding its factory in Imriehel with an addition 1,250 square metres of space. The project should be concluded by June of 2017.

The project will help the company to diversify its services including Printed Circuit Boards.

Speaking after a visit to the factory, Prime Minister Dr Joseph Muscat told the media that further investment by big companies such as Methode Electronics is proof that international businesses have faith in Malta's economy. He said Methode is a success story. The company employs 1,200 people.

He said that the government intends to provide full support to the company, also thanks to Malta Enterprise and Malta Industrial Parks.
