Part of a balcony fell on a car in St Julian’s this morning, luckily injuring no-one.

The car had been parked in Kuccard Street by a woman, and a baby had been lifted out of the vehicle minutes before chunks of concrete came crashing down.

The accident happened at 11.15am.

The balcony in question is on the third floor of a block of apartments. The chunks bounced off electricity wires before being pushed out on the vehicle, heavily damaging it.

A motorcycle that was parked between the car and the wall was also hit.

The police were called in to investigate.
