A man has been injured in a road accident on Stabal Street in Marsa at around 7.30 pm this evening, the police are informed.

The Qormi Police immediately arrived on the scene where preliminary investigations found that the crash took place between a Volkswagen Polo driven by a 20 year-old man from Zebbug and a Piaggio Vespa driven by a 55 year-old man from Qormi.

The driver of the Vespa was immediately taken to Mater Dei hospital and treated. Later in the evening, the police where then informed that the man was not at risk of death, however the nature of his injuries are still unknown.

Investigations are ongoing.
