Is the morning after pill abortive?

Sunday, 26 June 2016, 08:14 Last update: about 9 years ago

In human fertilization, two cells – an ovum (female gamete) and a sperm cell (male gamete) combine to form a single cell called a zygote.  This one cell, following rapid cell division develops into the blastocyst, which comprises of 200-300 cells.  The blastocyst will attach itself to the lining of the uterus.  The blastocyst forms the embryo.  In IVF, the embryo is considered to be a human being.

Now, doctors tell us that, sometimes the Morning After Pill does not allow the blastocyst to attach itself to the lining of the uterus.  If this happens, it is flushed out of the body and the embryo i.e. the Human Baby will die.  This is called an Abortion.  Therefore, the Morning After Pill is abortive.
