Privacy will not be prejudiced

Sunday, 26 June 2016, 08:06 Last update: about 9 years ago

I refer to the article published online on 11th June entitled “Lija Local Council not consulted about building described as ‘monstrosity’”, and on 12th June in The Malta Independent on Sunday.

I categorically condemn and deny the insinuation that Robin Zammit made that he lives across the proposed block of apartments and that his privacy will be prejudiced. Mr Zammit does not even live in Daniel Sammut Street but elsewhere in Lija, so this proposed building cannot affect him. It is I who lives exactly across the road and will be facing the block of apartments. Indeed, there are already existing blocks of apartments just a few metres away. The proposed building will not affect me since it will consist of luxury apartments which will enhance the same street.

Furthermore, Daniel Sammut Street is not in the vicinity of the Belvedere area as stated in your newspaper, and is not considered exclusively a villa area.
