Eight pupils from the De La Salle Primary school were hospitalised earlier today after they fell ill due to an issue with the air-conditioning system of the bus they were travelling on. All eight were expected to be discharged at 1pm, the government said in a statement.
“Earlier this morning a coach carrying Year 5 De La Salle Primary pupils on their way to a school trip stopped shortly after leaving the school following an issue with the air-conditioning system.
Paramedics were called on the spot and they examined all the children. Eight of them were taken to hospital for further checks. All eight are expected be discharged at 1pm from hospital. Parents and guardians of all the school’s pupils have been given the details of the incident,” the statement said.
