The Nationalist Party today insisted that no decision should be taken on any development planned for Mriehel until a comprehensive master plan is draw up.
In a statement signed by shadow minister Marthese Portelli and spokesman Ryan Callus, the PN said that the government should look at the whole picture before important decisions on development projects are made.
The inclusion of Mriehel in the Floor to Area Policy was made without any consultation, so much so that the Planning Authority had simply announced this in a statement to say that high-rise buildings would be allowed there.
The PN said that the PA would be in a better position to decide after a consultation process.
