‘Giant fireball’ seen in skies over Calabria, Sicily and Malta - report

A giant fireball was seen last night in the skies over southern Italy, including Calabria and Sicily, as well as Malta, weather website meteoweb.eu reported.

The website reported that at 10.55pm the meteor flashed across the skies, brightening it up as it moved towards the south-east.

Accompanied by a full moon, the website reports that eyewitnesses said it was like “daylight”, “an extraordinary spectacle”.
