Prime Minister Joseph Muscat believes that while the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union poses a number of challenges for bilateral relations with Gibraltar, it also opens up avenues.
His comments came during a round of talks with the Chief Minister of Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo held at the Office of the Prime Minister, Castille.
Dr Muscat said that he is keen on maintaining relations with Gibraltar, and sees potential for collaboration through constructive talks.
Mr Picardo reiterated Dr Muscat’s sentiment, where he noted the historic links between the two countries, adding that the Gibraltarian Government would like to maintain the ties between the two sides.
